We’ve devised a plan to help get your motivation back and feeling in control, happy and excited about the cold weather ahead.

FRESH AIR
Regardless of how cold, wet, dark and miserable the weather is we GUARANTEE you that getting outside for some fresh air will work wonders for your body, mind and plus will leave you feeling chuffed with yourself for getting out there. So rug up and get moving! Take a towel to the playground and wipe away the water, get some gumboots for you and the kids and HAVE FUN.

EASE OFF THE SUGAR
It’s hard to resist chucking in a teaspoon of sugar to a coffee or having a piece of chocolate after dinner but simply being more aware of your sugar intake will help you to ease off it! Know what your triggers are and if need be, THROW OUT ALL THE SUGAR IN THE HOUSE.

GET A LIST HAPPENING
Put that mental list that you have in your head down on paper… what are all the things you want to achieve by the end of winter? Put pen to paper, prioritise and begin to execute a plan to achieve it all.

GET A DIARY
Hand in hand with the list, once you’ve worked out what you need/want done, plan it out in a diary. We love our diaries here – and yes, we know we’re a fair few months into the year but we highly recommend!

GET ON THE AFFIRMATIONS
Believe in yourself – pump yourself up with some happy, positive and love-giving affirmations. A few I’ve put up on post-it’s at home this week are:
– I am happy and I radiate happiness
– Life is beautiful. Life is fulfilling
– I am inspired, enthusiastic & successful
– I surround myself with loving, positive and supportive people

CATCH-UPS
Feel like you have nothing to look forward to? Send out some love and ask some friends if they want to catch-up! Green teas at home while the kids play or dinner by an open fire minus children – maybe a Saturday morning stroll in the rain? Remember to keep the conversation uplifting as like we’ve learnt, we feed off each other!

PLAN SOMETHING FUN
(Or better yet don’t plan it and just DO it!) Go for a drive somewhere gorgeous, plan a holiday for next year, go see a funny movie – think of something that makes you happy and do it regardless of the weather and how the kids are behaving! We all need something to have to look forward to!!

READ A GOOD BOOK
Fiction or non-fiction get engrossed in a good book. Make the time to read and learn something new – expand your mind and open yourself up to new ideas. We love the feeling of getting engrossed in a great book!!

RUN A BATH
A hot bath is proven to release serotonin levels and reduce stress. Once the kids are in bed grab some candles, bubble-bath and good beats and enjoy the ‘me’ time – it’s much deserved my love.

Let’s all head into tomorrow with a go-get-‘em attitude and let’s all get our mojos back together!
